Angel Camp Vineyard

Angel Camp Vineyard is a boutique Pinot Noir vineyard located west of Philo in California’s renowned Anderson Valley AVA. Established in 2005 and planted in 2006, the vineyard was developed on a picturesque hillside overlooking the Navarro River watershed, where cool Pacific Ocean breezes and coastal fog create ideal conditions for cultivating exceptional Pinot Noir.

Covering approximately 11 planted acres, the vineyard is dedicated exclusively to Pinot Noir and features a diverse collection of Dijon and heritage clones, including 115, 667, 777, 828, Swan, David Bruce, 2A, and Pommard. These carefully selected clones contribute complexity, balance, and depth to the fruit, allowing winemakers to craft distinctive wines that reflect the character of Anderson Valley.

The vineyard’s gravelly and alluvial soils provide excellent drainage while encouraging deep root development. Combined with the region’s long growing season and cool climate, these conditions help produce grapes with vibrant acidity, concentrated flavors, and refined structure.

Fruit sourced from Angel Camp Vineyard has been featured by several respected wineries, including Donum Estate, Dutton-Goldfield Winery, Balo Vineyards, Stemmler, and Chanamé. Today, Angel Camp Vineyard is recognized as one of Anderson Valley’s notable Pinot Noir sites, contributing premium fruit that showcases the unique terroir of Mendocino County.
